Greetings, KSJOA members!
I hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving with family and friends.
Our KSJOA Board meets regularly to prepare for the 2024 conference. The conference will be July 29-August 1 at the Drury Plaza Hotel Broadview in Wichita. If you have any suggestions for great presenters or speakers, please e-mail our training coordinator, Ken Winter.
One of my plans is to use this blog to communicate with you. This will allow for me to keep everyone up-to-date with association business and great things happening throughout the state. Education can only advance through transparency with professional organizations like KSJOA and I am happy to be able to continue to use this platform. You can also follow us on Facebook on the Kansas Juvenile Officers Association page.
I am pleased to announce we have selected our new KSJOA Board Representatives. Please join me in welcoming:
Dana Burns – Butler County Sheriff’s Office
Branden Bohannon – Mulvane Police Department
Kyle Carlisle – Kearney County Sheriff’s Office
George “Justin” Green – Leavenworth County Sheriff’s Office
Ryan Lichter – 20th Judicial District Juvenile Services
Jessica Starnes – Haysville Police Department
Tyson Nielsen – El Dorado USD 490 Police Department
Tyrone Wooden – Humboldt Police Department
Congratulations to each of our new Board Representatives. We look forward to working with you!
Finally, to every Executive Board member, Board Liaisons, Board Representatives, and anyone who has volunteered your time to a KSJOA activity, I thank you for your engagement. I see you and what you have done and I continue to see what you are doing. I appreciate the time and effort you put in to make yourself and KSJOA better... from my heart. You inspire me and continue to motivate me. I thank you. -Anthony
